This tour explores the birth of journalism on one of London’s most historic and depraved thoroughfares: Fleet Street. A pungent brew of history, drama, and music, you’ll join wayward hacks, smug tycoons, bawds, balladeers, corrupt MPs and singing salesmen to witness the unmuzzling of the “feral beast” – the free press – at the dawn of the eighteenth century. Including free antique newspapers and the opportunity to throw tomatos at slanderous journalists.
