Shape presents a Halloween party like no other at the famous Camden Arts Centre in Hampstead.
Performance artist and sculptor Simon Raven, Shape’s 2012 artist in residence, invites you to an evening full of surprises to mark the culmination of his three month residency at Camden Arts Centre.

Raven specialises in improvised and interactive installations, films and performances. Previous work at Camden Arts Centre included an impromptu film shot on location with members of the audience, interactive automata installations, a day trip down the Regent’s Canal on the ‘Ship of Crips’ and a recent peephole installation for one viewer inspired by Marcel Duchamp's famous last work 'Etant Donnes’. His latest work for the Frieze VIP event involved turning his studio into an arctic environment, dominated by a massive iceberg!

Join Simon this Halloween for a weird and wonderful evening of live music, interactive performances and Bloody Marys where books may float off shelves and library card archives might explode…

Inspired by the gallery’s history as a public library, Raven also promises an original painting as prize for the person (or persons) wearing the best 'literary ghost' costume.

Simon Raven is the winner of this year’s Adam Reynolds Memorial Bursary programme, offering a disabled artist a three month residency at a high profile arts venue.

Shape’s Arts Manager Shiri Shalmy says “Simon’s work is highly original and always engaging. He has an exceptional talent to turn the ordinary into extraordinary and the mundane into a playful surprise. His very unique style and artistic approach, alongside his great ability to engage audiences of all ages and backgrounds, made his residency a huge success and a joy to work on”
