Popular Iranian music ensemble Ahoura and classical dancer Ziba Tabrizi will present a fusion of traditional Persian music, dance, and poetry in an event that explores the significance of love in these three aspects of Persian art.

The programme includes four of Ahoura's compositions evoking joy, love and passion, wht the central piece being the song Asheghan. Composed by the tar player Behnam Alipour, this song invites the listeners to seek true love and happiness and to aspire to a heavenly ove witht he words 'asheghansenahachak bayed kard' ('lovers must open up their hearts').

ziba is one of the very few performers of authentic Persian, Tajik, Azeri and Afghan dance in the UK; she will be interpreting the music throughout the evening.
