THE BROMPTON BAR & GRILL HOST VENISON-THEMED GRILL CLUB

On 19th November the award-winning Brompton Bar and Grill will team up with the acclaimed Wild Game Co. to host its latest installment of The Grill Club, this time with venison as the theme. The evening will be a truly unforgettable gastronomic delight, involving preparation and cookery demonstrations of game, as well as a wine pairing.

Guests will enjoy a glass of champagne on arrival and father and son team Leslie and Andy Waugh of The Wild Game Co. will open the evening with demonstrations on the butchery and preparation of venison, peppered with interesting facts about venison such as the best time of year to enjoy it and cooking with the different cuts of meat.

The Wild Game Co are a young and dynamic team, who are having fun cooking and promoting British game, whilst remaining true to its heritage. All of their meat is sourced and then butchered with care by Leslie’s game-butchering business just north of Inverness, which has been in existence for over 30 years. The ‘kilt-wearing chefs’ have been making an impression on the London dining scene and this year were the winners of ‘Street Food of the Year’ at The Young British Foodies Awards, and were recently voted by The Evening Standard as one of the top five places to eat game in London. They run weekly street food stalls at Whitecross, Street Feast Hackney, Broadway Market, and the Berwick Street Market

Brompton Bar & Grill owner and chef Francois O’Neill will then do a cooking demonstration on how to prepare one of the restaurant’s more popular dishes: Venison Tartare, followed by a quick lesson from Andy on how to make The Wild Game Co’s signature Venison Burgers.

This will then be followed by a brief talk and tasting by Rupert Bairamian of award winning wine dealers, Hallgarten Druitt, which will explore and demonstrate which wines are best paired with venison. Hallgarten Druitt is one of the most respected and celebrated names in the wine trade with over 70 years of experience with a highly acclaimed list. Over the course of the evening, guests will enjoy a delicious three-course dinner of the Venison Tartare, Venison Burger, Chocolate Pot, polished off with Coffee and Chocolates.

Occurring regularly and exploring different themes at each session, The Grill Club will provide the perfect Monday evening activity for meat lovers in London. The Brompton Bar & Grill is Knightsbridge’s stylish and local bistro offering superb seasonal cuisine, fine wines and delicious cocktails. Founded by Francois three years ago, it has gone from strength to strength and is the ideal place to eat, drink and enjoy regular live music.
