The Fours ‘Heads of the River’ Rowing Race takes place on the Thames on Saturday 10th November, from Mortlake to Putney. It is an annual time trial race with around 350 boats taking part (and apparently is the second largest participant event in London, only to the London Marathon). There will be some Olympians racing for their clubs also so it is quite the spectacle! It is a great opportunity to find a pub in a great vantage point along the Thames and spot some of the athletes who medalled at London 2012. There is more information about the race, and the teams taking part on the race website.
