KERB, King's Boulevard and Granary Square, London

Visitors to King’s Cross will have noticed that the first snowflakes have already fallen in N1C. Abstracted snowflakes by artist Phil Cooper, spell out King’s Cross and are nestling in the trees along King’s Boulevard and in Granary Square. The snowflakes complement the 1,080 fountains in the square, which have been specially programmed for the festive period. The seasonal displays include stars, snowmen and Christmas trees and will be running until 5 January.

On Wednesday 19 December, Christmas entertainment will commence each afternoon alongside KERB, London’s premier street food collective. While the KERB traders serve up their delicious offerings (some with a Christmas twist) visitors can be entertained by three very different, but equally quirky acts, entertaining with magic, song and brass.

Wednesday 19 December

11.30am – 12.15pm, 1.45pm – 2.30pm and 4.15pm – 5.00pm.
Magician Darren Campbell will be bringing his interactive, close up magic tricks to Battle Bridge Place, King’s Boulevard and
Granary Square.
KERB traders: Eat My Pies, Kimchi Cult, Luardos, Spit & Roast

Commenting on Christmas at King’s Cross, Anne Hughes, Marketing Manager at Argent said;

“We’re looking forward to welcoming people to King’s Cross for Christmas with a twist. KERB will be serving up the best street food in London, while our quirky acts will be keeping people entertained. All in all, Christmas will be tasty, musical and fun and we can guarantee snowflakes and snowmen!”

Speaking about the Christmas events, Catherine Borowski, Events Director at Produce who curated the street entertainment with Gideon Reeling, said:

"Christmas at King's Cross is already as abstract and eclectic as the development itself, so in putting together street entertainment to bring the festive walkways to life, no ordinary buskers would do. From twisted art punk marching band Perhaps Contraption to the re-worded musical numbers and sing-a-longs of The Ladies of the WC, via Darren Campbell's close up magic, I hope visitors will be enchanted by the curious acts they will find on each corner."
