For more than 30 years Glynn worked as a photographer supplying The Independent, other newspapers, magazines, charities and design companies. Realising a long held wish to study art, he graduated with an MA in sculpture in 2010 from Wimbledon Art College (University of Arts, London). He was awarded the Clifford Chance Sculpture prize, amongst others, on his graduation.

“This exhibition is a celebration of Glynn’s early days as a photojournalist for The Independent and other publications from 1960-1990's and his transition to sculptor.

Where he began and where he is now, much the same as he has chronicled others through his photographs.” The Horsebox Gallery

"Most likely because of my long association with journalism, I am drawn to the narrative; even my individual sculpture pieces tend I believe, to have a story to tell. Much of my work revolves around the use of materials that are seemingly at odds with one another; such as the relationship between the Natural and the Man-made. Within this loose parameter I deal with forces such as balance, tension and gravity - and the spaces in which they can be acted out." Glynn Griffiths
