Retrospective - The History Behind Next Season

Retrospective, an exciting London Fashion Week show that explores the past to predict next season’s trends, is back for its second season.

Taking place at Bloomsbury Ballroom on Saturday 16th February 2013, Retrospective will feature beautiful one-off pieces from the fashion archives of the world’s finest design houses and collections.

Retrospective is the only event during London Fashion Week to show the cyclical nature of styles and trends, whilst offering the fashion industry the chance to indulge their love of vintage and period design.

Following the success of September’s event, Retrospective will once again give Londoners an exclusive peek into what is usually closed to the public, providing high fashion for all. Retrospective ticket holders will be able to get involved with the capital’s most exciting fashion event while experiencing the glamour, style and iconic designs from the past century.

This February, Retrospective has teamed up with some of London’s favourite vintage outfitters and suppliers, including Lucy In Disguise, Vintage Modes, Catherine Walker and Violet’s Box. Mixing gowns, accessories and casual wear from the 1920s right through to the 1980s, each look will be selected and styled to reflect the current and future trends being showcased during London Fashion Week.

The evening begins with a drinks reception. Then guests will be seated to enjoy exciting catwalk shows featuring designs from some of the biggest names in fashion history.
