Fusion Forums 2013

Fusion Forums 2013 is a forum for art and discussion on human rights. The event will use a range of mediums including but not limited to performance, photography, music, dance to highlight social concerns.

The first event in a series of 5 will be covering Sexual Slavery – not only the human trafficking aspect of it but also sexual objectification and the way we are all more or less enslaved by it.

Sexual trafficking – one of the most popular social causes of our century. Yet, what do we really know? What have we actually done about it? Have we really looked at the cause of it or are we just addressing the symptoms?

Is there a link between prostitution and sexual objectification? Sex, sexiness and sexualisation nowadays are often the measure by which women´s and girls´ worth is judged – and as women – we are naturally against that but how much of it is actually a byproduct of modern day feminism? Or is it?

In a collaboration of artists and human rights activists, we will be asking these questions and more and try to find the answers.
