Times are tough, but for the residents of ROAD every night’s a party. Come and explore this diverse community where people are struggling to survive on the poverty line, with only one way to escape the reality of their squalid existence. Allow Scullery, our drunken vagrant, to be your tour guide for the evening; be prepared to face the nightlife of the street where anything’s a possibility.
Written in a time when an unpopular leader was in power and there were continued fears of terrorist attacks and deepening recession, Jim Cartwright's play explores many themes but most importantly community and the extraordinary resilience of the human spirit. Join Southside for an evening of exploration into the human psyche, in 15 years has anything really changed?
(Southside believe the play to be unsuitable for children as it contains strong language and adult content.)
