Talk: Turquoise Mountain Foundation: Culture and Conflict
The Foundation was established in 2006 and is investing in the regeneration of Afghanistan’s traditional crafts and the rehabilitation of the old city of Kabul.
Rory Stewart OBE was educated at Balliol College, Oxford before joining the Foreign Office. From 2000 - 2002 he walked 6000 miles across Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and Nepal, a journey described in The Places in Between. In May 2010, Rory was elected Member of Parliament for Penrith and the Border.
