Monday Weekly Wine Tasting - Exploring the Greatness of Italian Wines

Every Monday from 5.30 – 7pm, we will discover together a different Italian wine region. We will learn about what makes each region and each grape variety distinctive and unique. Tasty nibbles will complement the wines.

Bring a friend, a date or a colleague. Mondays never tasted this good!

THE SOUTH OF ITALY
When: Monday, 28th January (5.30 – 7PM)

What to expect: Explore Campania and Puglia, two emerging regions on the Italian peninsula wine scene. Rediscover grape varieties from the south. Nibbles included to match.

Grape varieties: Fiano, Verdeca, Susumaniello, Aglianico, Primitivo and Negroamaro
Wineries: Li Veli and Casa di Baal

THE ISLANDS OF ITALY
When: Monday, 4th February (5.30 - 7pm)

What to expect: Discover the land of volcano and its revival of the last 10 years, with Sardinian wines and Mare e Monti simple food.

Grape varieties: Vermentino, Zibibbo, Nerello Mascalese, Cannonau and Carignano
Wineries: I Vigneri, Marco De Bartoli, Soletta and Sardus Pater

CENTRAL ITALY FROM TUSCANY TO MARCHE
When: Monday, 11th February (5.30 - 7pm)

What to expect: Pair unique traditional foods with the most recognised wine variety in Italy.

Grape varieties: Vernaccia, Verdicchio and various blends of the fantastic Sangiovese
Wineries: Bindella, Montenidoli and Fattoria San Lorenzo

NORTH WEST ITALY FROM EMILIA TO FRIULI
When: Monday, 18th February (5.30 - 7pm)

What to expect: From sparkling red wines to wines from the highest vineyard in Europe and back to the exquisite valley of Verona. This is where food as a culinary art was invented. This tasting will spoil all your senses.

THE BARON OF ITALY: PIEDMONT
When: Monday, 25th February (5.30 - 7pm)

What to expect: In this last event, we will explore the aging of wines as a path to perfection.

Grape varieties: Chardonnay, Cortese, Roero Arneis, Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo
Wineries: Marchesi di Barolo and Podere Bertelli
