Sonya Titus + Jono McCleery + Vanita & The Love live and direct from Ronnie's Bar, Soho

SONYA TITUS: Sonya Titus is a multi-talented singer/songwriter who's music and lyrics are inspired by her desire "to bring hope, love and surrender into her listener's hearts." Her musical influences include Carole King; Michael Jackson; Alanis Morissette and The Blues Brothers. Her music is organic, uplifting and a pot-pourri of sixties soul and seventies rock and disco. Tonight she and her band perform her refreshing, feel good, hopeful and melodic pop, including material from her forthcoming album entitled "NOW." She also provided backing vocals to the great reggae artist Niney The Observer at his London Jazz Festival performance at the end of 2012. Percussionist Martin Ditcham, who has worked with Sade and the Rolling Stones, joins Sonya Titus tonight along with Chris Staines (lead guitar); Rob Malya (bass) and Wol Webster (drums).

JONO MCCLEERY (solo): The London-based solo artist signed to Ninja Tune, having completed his first album 'Darkest Light' independently in 2008 which was self-produced and funded by admirers, including the folk artist Vashti Bunyan and BBC Radio DJs Tom Robinson and Fiona Talkington. It is now available worldwide on iTunes. His second album 'There Is' was described as "Miles Davis, Massive Attack, John Martyn, Fink, and Radiohead wrapped up in one exquisitely produced album." Jono McCleery has recently returned from touring Europe, and has toured with the likes of Gil Scott Heron, Bonobo, Fink, Jose Gonzales, Little Dragon, and Jamie Woon. He is currently recording his third album, which will be released later this year.

VANITA & THE LOVE: 5-piece combo, featuring Vanita Nicholls (voice) - founder member of the Get Upfront! Music Collective, as well as being in a host of bands including The Fracture, The Without Leaders and Strange Fruit. Latterly she has performed The Messiah as part of the Voicelab Choir at the Royal Festival Hall and been the Vampire Queen in the rock opera "Bite." Tonight she has chosen some classic love songs written with darkened hearts; Colin Minchin (guitar) is a former member of The Reptiles who morphed into One The Juggler and got to support Big Country, Eurythmics and Elvis Costello. As part of his work as a film editor he worked on the BBC series on the history of the guitar with Alan Yentob. He wrote the music for the rock opera "Bite." Johnathan Brooks (double bass) has a passion for classical and historical folk music and can be found playing in Westbound Piccadilly; Richard Carter (guitar) is part of Electric Dark Orchestra and co-runs the W7Edge monthly music nights in West London. The legendary Mike McKenzie appears on drums.

Tonight's proceedings will be followed by the TONY PARRY JAM SESSIONS hosted by 3WAY, who present fusion jazz in a new light. All musicians gain entry to the jam session for free.
