My Love for Liberty's Barbours

Love London

As two of my favourite British heritage brands, the ongoing collaboration between Liberty and Barbour always tickles my fancy. I have to admit that when I bought my classic green Beadnell a few years back, I did plump for the standard Barbour check lining, but I've always wished I'd chosen a Liberty print and the new styles just launched in store and online this week have done nothing to quell my desire.

The iconic Beadnell has been refreshed this season with two new prints. The olive jacket features a lining of Katie and Millie, a small, colourful, floral design, overlaid on a pure white background. Derived from a Liberty archive print pioneered in the 1920s, this beautiful and intricate pattern was selected for its recognisable and well-loved look.

The navy jacket however, is now lined with Edenham, another archive print created for Liberty in 1994. Playful, vibrant and graphic, when juxtaposed against the navy outer of the jacker the Edenham design creates a bold statement.

Both are available now, at £269 each, in store and online at
www.liberty.co.uk.
