Love London

In news sure to exciting any lover of print, Oasis has just launched a new and exclusive capsule collaboration in partnership with the Victoria & Albert Museum.

Born out of a mutual love of print and colour, the collection sees the brand join forces with the V&A to use 11 botanical prints from the 18th and 19th centuries, hand-selected from the museum's archives by Oasis's designers.

Pieces in the collection include casual kimono style jackets, wide leg high waisted trousers, voluminous culottes and A-line mini skirts.

Laura Jackson, star of the campaign, said of the collaboration “I’m so thrilled and honoured to be part of such an exciting project. I’m a huge fan of the British high street and couldn’t be more excited to be working with Oasis.TheV&A holds a really special place in my heart and is the museum I have frequented and love the most. The collaboration between the two British brands is so beautiful, I love the prints and tailoring. They’re perfect for summer... now all we need is the sun!”

“It’s been really inspiring to work with such beautifully painted florals and to imagine someone spending hours hand-painting them all those years ago" added Oasis' Print Manager, Daisy Spurrier.

In an additional collaborative twist, the collection also includes four printed pairs of flip flops from Gandys, the footwear brand setup by two brothers who were orphaned in the 2004 tsunami. 10% of profits from all flip flops sold will be donated back to the brothers’ Orphans for Orphans charity that builds Children’s Homes across the globe.

The range is priced from £16-£70 and will be available from 21st May in store and online at www.oasis-stores.com
