It's glitzy, it's glam, it's unapologetic and it's damn hard not to have a good night out here.

When you want it loud, colourful and ever so slightly tacky, Strawberry Moons is there for you. Located between Oxford Street and Piccadilly Circus, this is the place to come for crowds. DJs play club hits, which means serious dancing, short skirts, muscle tops and a whole lot of action.

I celebrated my Birthday here and had an amazing night. Great party venue with all the old music everyone loves to dance to. The dance floor lights up similar to the Saturday night fever look, which turns out to be a lot of fun! The staff are really helpful and friendly often putting on performances throughout the evening. Strawberry Moons is a perfect venue for a celebration.

I worked at Strawberry's for some time and found everyone there to be great, friendly and a pleasure to work for and with. Whenever my friends or family came for a night out (Anonymous like) they had a great night out and the flash backs to the 70s 80s were the most fun with everyone running to the dance floor to join in, apart from those athat are better than everyone else and are in "ART COLLAGE" and like to listen to Morrissey and The Smiths. It is an entertainment bar after all. As far as the security goe's, I want to know that everyone in there has been checked, "IT'S THE WEST END YOU FOOLS". As long as your infomation is safe, and it is, otherwise they wouldn't be able to take it, you are safe. Door staff have the job of putting themselves in front of the attacker to protect you, ok if their method of serch is not up to the job then tell Westminster city council licencing office. You don't have to get offened or abusive and please remember that if someone working on the door says they own the bar then you know that they don't because they would be sitting at it!!! I loved working there and would love to again!!! Oh by the way my name is Clive. XXXXXXX

Sorry my review was meant to have 1 star. That is even too generous.

This place is awful. The bouncer was unfriendly and carried out a very poor search limited to only the males. The guy on the door was obnoxious and said that they needed to scan my photo i.d "in case I commit a crime inside the club". When I explained how offensive this explanation was he attempted to show me up in front of my guest and threatened to refuse entry. Place was virtually empty on a Saturday night. Those that were there looked about 17 and filled the stage lifting their skirts. My Guiness was off and tasted of Savlon and the bar staff agreed when I returned it asking me if I could wait ten minutes whilst they sorted it out. Entry was £10 each. How do they get away with the blatant sex discrimination only searching and I.D ing the men. Are they registered with the relevant freedom of information authorities re the personal information they are collecting? Additionally their poor security procedures totally undermine their I.D scan system which they justify by saying it will prevent you committing a crime in the club. Imagine every shop you going in to taking a scan of your address and photo at the door and telling you that it is to stop you shop lifting in store! Stay clear of this place at all costs!

I went to Strawberry moons for my 30's birthday and have to say it was an awful experience. If you enjoy your pop cheese then this is the place for you but if you don't then avoid at all costs. The club was over crowded and the atmosphere of the club isn't good. I would never go there again, a bit of an insult them asking you to pay to get in, they should be paying customers to get in. Awful place!!!

I went here for my hen do in march and had a great time, i got in for free and got a free bottle of champayne and a party hen pack with free goodies inside it, the staff were friendly, we had no problems with entry but then we are all over 25.We all dressed up in fancy dress which not many places let you in. the staff were friendly, had cocktails all night which were tasty. music was great - mixture of 70's , 80's 90's , cheesy pop tunes which we all wanted to have a boogie to.

BUYER BEWARE! If you're happy with rude and aggressive service and this club keeping a database of your photo, full name, age and home address before they even let you in, then go right ahead, otherwise avoid this club. This company needs to recognise and reiterate to a number of their staff members that paying customers must be treated with dignity and respect and that their business would not exist without its patrons. Their bouncer was rude, aggressive and irrational - they didn't let my friend in because he didn't want his ID scanned on the basis of privacy concerns and their questionable legal right to do so (which was all the more insulting given our wives who were already inside weren't required to scan their IDs...), but then they pushed me out too unfairly even though I'd already paid and was just waiting for him! They were even going to keep the cover charge until I insisted it be refunded on the basis that I hadn't stepped more than 2 metres into the place! If they can resolve their customer privacy issues and insulting customer service then I may consider returning but until that happens I intend to avoid this club at all costs and I urge others do the same.

Being my friend's 33rd Birthday a group of us headed down to Strawberry moons at 11:55pm - 4 pretty girls & 2 boys. No one was younger than 24 & we were all respectably dressed. The club was half empty and playing house tunes, whereas we were more interested in Abba type cheese. The woman on the door was so rude & when we enquired about the music policy & a possible discount as it was half empty, she got right in my face pointing her finger at me yelling that it was her club, she didn't have to give a discount & called security to remove me.
Since I was literally standing there with my hands in my pockets being really chilled (God I wish I could post the CCTV footage!!) the security guy told me to just go into the club as he didn't want to kick me out (since it was half empty he obviously had a better business sense than the woman on the door)

My friend stayed at the door & asked the woman if she was okay. She said she was in a mood because she was the General Manager of the club & she had been "stuck" on the door.
Well, THAT explains everything! Her EGO was too huge for her to be polite & friendly to the customers paying her salary!

Little did she know that in our group we have 2 General Managers (1 that works for the Gordon Ramsay group - you could imagine what he'd do if he found one of his management team treating customers like that!!)
And I am the Marketing Director for a group of 14 bars - I have 14 General Managers underneath me... I don't want to blow my own horn but yesterday 1 of my flyer girls let me down, so I took the flyers round to the local businesses & to people in the streets myself. I was really friendly & not once did I throw a strop that I had to do a "menial" task.
To be treated like a criminal by someone faced with the same task (on the same day) because she has a bruised ego was more than a little insulting.

In this credit crunch there is a very high calibre of General Manager looking for work - she'd do well to rememb

I've had my Staff party @ Strawberry Moons bar, that was just gorgeous!!
We have booked a massive area and pre paid for drinks, when we got in, everything was already on the tables, i mean the pre order foods and drinks, just brilliant actually!!
Regarding the bar staff, They were just really friendly and helpful, awesome service.
The music has been simply lovely, 90's, cheesy, pop music, New... brilliant Dj set.
Moreover the drinks are quite cheap in there, that's interesting!!
All my collegues and me have spent a superb moment, just dancing, laughing, having fun all night long...
THE West End Venue!! Night out there recommended!!

I also celebrated my 25th birthday at strawberry moons. And that too was a horrible experience.
Before booking I made them aware that I relied on a wheelchair and they were all too happy to accommodate. So that was it! My 25th Birthday party in a trendy west end bar with all my friends and family!
I sent out all the invites and made all the necessary phone calls and every body was supposed to arrive at 7pm
I wanted to get there a little early so I booked a cab and arrive at 6pm.
When I got there the girl at reception was being funny. I can only assume that I didn’t fit in with all the beautiful people who were at the bar. So a member of staff asked if he could take me to the table and away from the reception. I didn’t mind at the time because it was so cold by the door.
As he pushed me the end of the corridor he gave me a complimentary bottle of vodka.
I began to think that maybe I was just being paranoid and that they where just after all nice people. But then he opened the door at the end of the corridor and too my amazement it was a tiny broom cupboard. And too my horror he wheeled me into it and wished me a happy birthday and for me to have a drink for him.
I spent the next 5 hours there all alone with my vodka. Unable to get help due to no phone signal! Never go there!

I booked my wife's 30th here. We booked for 15 covers which appeared on the receipt. When we arrived there was seating for 6 people. Not wishing to make a fuss, I didn't complain. After about 30 minutes a couple more of my mates turned up so I went to get a couple of chairs. A very aggressive lady came across telling me to put the chairs back. An argument then commenced where I pointed out that our receipt said 15 covers and she said that might be true but they always emailed to say that only 6 seats would be provided. After a couple of minutes I gave up with the woman and asked that she calm down and we'd handle the lack of seating. 10 minutes later, the woman returned with a guy claiming to be the manager. The guy said that I'd insulted his staff and that I should leave. I tried to reason with the fellow but he was adamant that I'd been rude and I'd have to leave. After we received a refund we went over the road and had a great time in the Italian restaurant opposite. Under no circumstances book a party there. I am truly shocked by the atitude of this venue.

We always have a great time here! Great unpretentious venue with friendly staff, good dance tunes and a mixed crowd. Gay, straight, old, young, Whether you are on a girls (or boys) night out, a work do or anything else, this place hits the spot. You can come in fancy dress, strut your stuff as a pole dancer (fully clothed!) or just enjoy the black sambuca shots.....oh, my head....

Went to Strawberry Moons for my Friend B'day party, had a great night!
Nice 60's, 70's and 80's cheesy chart and commercial pop music. The DJ is great entertainer and the Staff is very friendly too.
Highly recommanded if you looking for place to have fun! This is the one!
Have your say
