The Restaurant was close to angel station, the menu looked great we really looked forward to this dinner before the cinema. We ordered and then waited what seemed to be a lifetime. Finally the food did arrive, we ordered the roast lamb and the whitebait. The food was bland tastlesss and not of good quality. The whitebait was cheap breaded frozen fish that you would find on a friday school menu, the salad that came with it was boring and lifeless too. The Lamb tasted good but the gravy had no flavour and i mean no flavour it was just a brown liquid of which i dont know what the ingredients were. The vegetable were fried greens covered in oil and not cooked probably.

The restaurant was nicely decorated and seemed busy which is usually a good sign. The couple next to us did complain also but we didnt as we felt we hadnt ordered much. They did get free liqeur coffees in the end which we were jealous of.

I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone i know.

This is a very good restaurant but always busy (so probably best to book a table.) There is a wide selection of food and the amount of choice for vegetarians is especially good. I have been there 3 times and enjoyed every meal. The food is very good value, particularly the lunch menu which seems to be available until about 6pm. Can feel quite crowded as tables are close together and can get quite noisy but there is definitely a good atmosphere and the service is good too.

What a wonderul resturant, I just keep going back and each time it's just as good if not better than the last. The food is delicious, with a great selection and plenty of options and really resonable prices for London!. There is a wonderful atmosphere, staff are always smiley and friendly and the house red is a cheap and lovely option! Excellent choice for either a romantic night for two or to go for a birthday meal as a group (I have done both). I really cant recommend this resturant highly enough! x x x

I have been going to this restaurant since it was first opened around 7 years ago. The food is really good with so many choices and very fair prices. The staff is really friendly. Along these years I have introduced so many people to the restaurant and they all keep going back and bringing more friends, so if you are planing to go to this restaurant I would really recommend you to book in advance, otherwise you might end up queing.
I highly recommend this restaurant, it is definitely my favorite in London, situated in the nice area of Upper Street, Angel.

I have eaten at this restaurant for many years and have always found the food very enjoyable, the ambiance great and the staff very friendly.

Unfortunately like many restaurants in Upper Street they are becoming victims of their own success as given the proximity of your neighbours at adjoining tables takes intimate dining to a new level.

I for one would feel a lot more comfortable if I were allowed rather more than 6 inches separating me from my fellow diners. This lack of space is compounded when you are placed in an area that seats both smokers and non smokers, although this will change later this year.

There's a wonderful atmosphere here, its cosy and laid-back, and the staff seem genuinely friendly - even at peak times when they are obviously under pressure due to the (deserved) popularity of this place. I highly recommend the lamb dishes which are always tender and with generous portions. This place is excellent value for money and from my experience, you're guaranteed a great meal with no fuss and friendly, efficient service.

I went with my family here for a meal and there was a problem with the bill (we were charged for an extra bottle of wine) but when we pointed out the mistake the staff were extremely gracious and we received a round of drinks on the house. We are sure to retur

Lovely atmosphere, and an amazing choice of food, I had calamari to start and a delicious fish dish for my main. A bit too crowded and hectic though and the candles are perched quite precariously on the tables.
