What the descriptions doesn't point out is that every other thursday at GJ's they host a comedy night. They play host to some great names in comedy, and for inexpensive prices. You can often catch the likes of Harry Hill to the fantastic Boothby Graffoe (if you ever get the chance to see this man live, go see him!). They also host summer bbq evenings where you get a free burger with your comedy. how's about that?
The pub itself serves drinks at average prices, is in close proximity to an underground tube station, and serves food, I'm sure (though I haven't ever ordered food here). It's not huge, but it feels spacious inside, I've always found a place to sit, and the staff are pleasant, and there's a beer gardeny bit for the smokers!
I have enjoyed my visits to this venue, and so should you.
GJ's accommodates a combination of bar, function room, kitchen and garden. The entire bar can be hired for private parties of up to 300 people. They serve food from a modern British menu in a cosy atmosphere. They have their own DJs and bands and will consider allowing guest performers.
