A group of us went to Mango Lounge for the first time on Saturday 4th February to celebrate a friend’s 30th Birthday.
There were around 30-40 of us in total and I noticed when I arrived late (running on Indian time) that everyone had something positive to say about the place. Usually my mates are quite nit-picky and will find something to complain about even if there is nothing.
Fine, its not the most snazziest of venues in the Kensington area but what is evident is that a simple formula works for them. Polite security and door staff, good reasonably priced drinks, good music, good birthday packages and most importantly, to make sure the birthday boy or girl walks out happy. The crowd is very mixed and unpretentious which also adds to the whole experience.
I thought my friend was on commission by the way she was raving on about how well she was looked after. So, I enquired about having my 29th birthday at mango and the manager got me a drink and took the time out to go through everything with me despite the venue being very busy which I thought was quite nice of him. Usually the answer you get on a busy night is "send me an e-mail" or "fill out the booking form on the website".
VERY GOOD PACKAGES so there is no harm in making an enquiry people!
I walked away from the manager thinking “is he paying me to have my party here?”, surely it should be the other way around! lol. I'm not complaining.
The only nit I would pick is that I was told, despite inviting 30 people, I would not get seating for everyone, just a seating area and table to leave drinks. But then again, I didn’t expect to seat my whole party.
I’m not writing this review to get any free stuff when I have my party, it’s genuinely a really great place and first impressions always last on me. So much so, that I am recommending it even before my own celebration.
We had our Engagement Party at Mango Lounge in June 2010. Oli (the manager) is a great guy to work with and really does work with you to make your event a success. Right from the start he has been very helpful with organizing the event how we wanted, helping with canapés, music choice, microphones and a fantastic champagne reception. The club on the lower floor was exclusively kept for our 100 guests which we found to be the right size.
Being flexible in allowing us to bring some of our own décor (adhering to safety standards of course), Mango Lounge provided a few key items such as helium balloons & candles. We were allowed to drop off our cake and set up the venue a few hours before our guests arrived.
I would like to add that it is clear to see that this family run establishment is more than ready to go that extra mile in order for its customers to be very satisfied.
Not only did he help plan the event, but also ensured the smooth running of the night with his team (who are very friendly, and love cake!)... overall he made this a great night for us and our guests!
We can’t wait to be back.
Thanks again Oli and the Mango Lounge team for a Perfect Engagement Party!
Just have to say a massive thanks to all the guys & gals at Mango Lounge for making my wifes b'day such a cracking night!
This review is a little overdue, sorry!
Even though they were short staffed they still managed really well with drinks orders.
Olly was beyond helpful making the booking and accomodated us brilliantly.
Music was great, as were the drinks!
Will be back for sure, great place.
P.S Dj didn't play my request, but hey it's all good.
Olly you're a legend in the making, hope to see you again soon.

I had my birthday drinks at Mango Lounge and cannot recommend this place highly enough. Please check out this little gem.
I found out about Mango Lounge on Facebook, decided to do my research and after reading more positive reviews thought I would give it a try. Best decision I made!
My enquiry e-mail received a super prompt response which was impressive. I was then offered an unheard of birthday package that I could not refuse. Any e-mail or message sent to the venue in the run up to my party was answered within minutes by the manager personally (thanks Ollie). I totally had all the party organising stress taken off my shoulders.
On the night I was looked after so well, especially by the door girl (sorry Bethany, I'm not sure what your position is exactly). Everyone working in the venue has a radio so when I asked to speak to the manager about my friends arriving late, speaking to the security or calling cabs, he was there in seconds and organised whatever I wanted.
As to the real stuff, cocktails were amazing! Every song the DJ played provoked a crazy reaction amongst my mates as we love our rnb and old school with a touch of funky house. The DJ had everything we asked for on his laptop which was great. The crowd at Mango Lounge is simply fun loving just like all the staff that work there. Prices are very reasonable too.
A photographer was provided free of charge who took pictures of my cake and random shots of my friends all having a great time which I was able to view the next day. I've got all the evidence of a great night. This was so good because my mates are totally useless when it comes to picture taking!
Thanks Mango Team! I'm definitely coming back with my troops for more birthdays and nights out and wanted to share this with the whole of London!!!
See you very soon,
Anna
Mango Lounge is by far my most favourite bar in London. Great staff, great ambience and between 6 and 8 you can buy two cocktails for the price of one. They have so much variety in cocktails and they all taste great. At those earlier hours, Mango Lounge is never really packed and so there's not a lot of people to contend with, there are no other bars in the immediate vicinity and so no crowds around, and the place is very relaxed. The only thing I've noticed is that everytime I've been there, they seem to have new staff! Just something I've noticed!! Highly recommended!
Can't recommend Mango Lounge highly enough. I celebrated my birthday with about 20 friends there last Saturday in the upstairs part. Oli, the manager, is a very chilled, friendly guy and made sure we had a fantastic evening - great ambience, very friendly staff, good music, delicious food, and the most amazing cocktails. Will definitely be going back.

I can only echo what's been said already about this great place! After much searching online for a cool venue to hold my birthday party, I kept coming across glowing reviews for the personal touch that Oli of Mango Lounge gives to his party customers, so even though it's a bit of a distance from me I thought I'd give him a ring...so glad I did! Oli was a real pleasure to deal with, very helpful, and made everything so easy arrangements-wise; felt very special with birthday balloons decorating our table and the first round of champagne cocktails. It was all so fun, exc atmosphere, cocktails & dancing and the lovely staff and service fantastic. Couldn't recommend more highly, thanks again
My fiancé Dharmesh and I, Priya, decided to celebrate our engagement at the Mango Lounge in Oct 07, firstly because it was conveniently located for all our guests, secondly because we could hire a private area but more importantly because Oli could accommodate our many requests to make sure our night was a memorable one. Oli's generosity definitely made it a fantastic night, he organised a champagne reception for all our guests, his dear Mum arranged a fabulous engagement cake for us & also a fresh fruit arrangement. The food we ordered went down a treat and we all danced the night away... thanks very much Oli & sorry for this late posting we've been busy with wedding planning :)
Having read reviews of Mango Lounge nline, decided to check this place out for my Engagement and Birthday party. This is a real nice plce and the staff are very friendly. Oli the manager is fantastic, provided a great service and let us decorate the place as how we wanted it. Music was great playing a variety of R&B, Dance, House, Cheese etc. The venue is clean and nicely lit.
Once again a fantastic place to go if you want to hire a venue for a special occasion with a great service. Thanks again Oli for all your help. Will definately recommend to friends and be back here again.
For those who are planning on holding a party I strongly recommend the Mango Lounge. Why, I hear you ask? Well, what did it for us was the fact that the owner (Oli) was very very accommodating.
Before my wife and I chose the Mango lounge for her 30th, we saw 5 venues. Each had asked for a minimum spend of £1500 plus deposits. Any less than this and we'd have to cover the difference.
Oli on the other hand charged us nothing, and also gave us exclusivity to the venue until 11pm. Clean venue, friendly staff, great owner. Oli even gave us free champagne cocktails and food, all on the house. The DJ was great and even let me make announcements to my guests on his Mic. Mango Lounge Rocks!
This establishment is quite possibly a gift from God Himself. No seriously, Mango Lounge gives Heaven a run for its money. Upscale ambience(yet unpretentious), reasonable drink prices, amiable waitstaff, and a menu chock full of gourmet delights. If you happen to drop by, head downstairs to the dance floor, where the DJ is always tearing it up later at night.
I went to Mango Lounge while I was in London and had the most amazing margarita I've ever had, hands down. The American city I'm from has Mexican restaurants on practically every corner, mostly run by actual Mexicans, and this beats them all. One margarita was the equivalent of about $14USD because of the exchange rate, but I had to have another just to make sure I wasn't dreaming. Other than that, I had a fantastic time dancing downstairs and everyone was very friendly and fun. I look forward to going back!
We had a fantastic party at the Mango Lounge the other day - great music, great cocktails, great fun! The staff were incredible, really friendly... We had excellent feedback from everyone who came (over 150 people).
If you want to organise a party, think Mango!!! The staff, the owner,... make it all so easy for you. Your party's bound to be a success. It was for us !
Signed : the S... party
Firsly, add the freshly squeezed cocktails to the friendly and welcoming staff, mix in getting your groove on until the early hours of the morning, sprinkle some fun, add a pinch of salt. SHAKE IT!!! and there you have it, Shaken not stirred...MANGO LOUNGE...an amazing bar you're bound to enjoy.
Last week i had my birthday party at mango lounge, all my friends came it was great. we started of with some cocktails...(pina colada)yummy!! which was made with love...we then went on to having BUBBLE GUM shots...(gorgeous) as the night went on....we went downstairs, were different music genres were being played...form r&b to hip hop to funky house to some reggeaton and i even requested some arabi
I new there was a reason why when living in the Earls Court Area my wife and I don’t venture out locally, trashy bars full of drunken old people smoking anything and everything. Mango Lounge is just one of these bars, no style no service and no dignity! The owners seem to get away with every violation there is and the service is the worst ever. Although not busy the staff had great difficulty trying to produce their house special cocktail, apparently they had ran out of ingredients. The floor was sticky from split drinks and the bar cluttered with products leaving no space to put your drinks, and they call themselves a Lounge Bar, what a joke. Its not often we go out midweek but my wife’s birthday fell on such a day and so we tried the place because we live round the corner. If there had been an opportunity to object to this place we would have done it. It’s an accident waiting to happen with the disorganization in its place of decency, even my son and daughter were disgusted by the place and they are in the early twenties who look and like trendy places. Mango Lounge is for the simple mind as any normal person would and will stay away. Be warned its marketing write up is not what you get, just the opposite. Never again!!
My team and I all work at the exhibition center, and naturally after a hard days graft like to have a few intoxicating beverages before we go home!
Mango Lounge was the venue last night, and it is responsible for the sore head we all experienced this morning. Dangerous cocktails!! I am not at all desparate to critisise the place for being so accomodating and friendly, and I thank the staff profoundly for putting up with us.
Although they may not wish to, they will be seeing us again... possibly this evening, as I think my hangover has almost gone!!
Anyway... I better do some work before I get the sack!
Very inconsistent reviews!! How strange I asked myself?? Having popped down to "The Mango Lounge", we encountered what can only be desctibed as a very strange place indeed. An unconventional looking cocktail bar which looks more like a restaurant, situtated in a part of Kensington I try my best to avoid.
Nevertheless, I decided to stay, having discovered my hidden obsession for Mojito's, and had a fansastic time with my friends. I did get slightly annoyed when a drunk man mistook my drink for his, but when I complained to the manager, he made me another one.
Not the kind of place we usually go to but I will be happy to visit again. The cocktails are definitly made with lots of love!
All I can say is that Mango Lounge is something that Earls Court needed! I'm not sure whose idea it was to go there on Saturday night but thats where we ended up. It seems to attract such a variety clientele, from back-packers and tourists, to those who have come straight from the office. I found it quite nice to see the cultural diversity, and everyone having a good time in one place.
With regard to the cocktails, they were, undoubtedly, very tastey. I was also quite happy with the service, but as it got busier, and more packed, you could see the staff were getting a bit stressed. I have no complaints about this venue, apart from that they should close later if possible!!
