With Rio hosting the Olympics this year, Brazil's city of colour and endless sun will soon be the focus of the world. Rio Music Conference (RMC) has been garnering the same attention for Brazil's electronic music since 2009, its annual edition the biggest gathering for the electronic music and nightlife industry in Latin America.

On June 4th RMC teams up with Egg for a party that collects the best of this talent, bringing together scene legends and rising new talent for a flavour of Rio's non-stop party vibe.

In the Garden are a host of DJs highlighting the deep-rooted history of electronic dance music in Brazil. Starting his career back at Sao Paulo's trail-blazing Madame Sata Club in 1987, Mau Mau is considered the pioneer of electronic music in Brazil, fusing the country's unique rhythms with European house and techno sensibilities to create a style all of his own. Joyce Muniz, based in Vienna but with Brazilian roots, has carried on this tradition, starting out as a vocalist but now dropping killer grooves on leading European labels from Exploited to Get Physical.

Alongside them is Renato Cohen, another product of Sao Paulo's thriving club scene. Repaying the support of Carl Cox with 'Pontape', the biggest selling techno track on Cox's Intec label (later remade and released on Drumcode), he's become a regular on labels such as 100% Pure and Tronic.

A resident DJ at D-Edge in Sao Paulo and Deputamadre in Belo Horizonte, Anderson Noise is yet another Brazilian star who has gone beyond the confines of his home country to make a huge impact on the world. A former resident at London's Turnmills, he's released close to 100 singles and nine mix compilations, while also running his own label, Noise Music, and radio show, Radio Noise, which is broadcast in 14 different countries. This hard work was rewarded by him being crowned best Brazilian DJ twice by DJ Mag Brazil. Completing the line-up is Mandi Hafez, resident at Camboriu's Warung Beach Club, a breathtaking venue loved amongst the world's underground house and techno community.

No prisoners are being taken on the Terrace by Mixhell. The pairing of Iggor Cavalera & Laima Leyton, Cavalera originally shot to fame as drummer in ‘90s metal band Sepultura. His percussive energy is still at work in Mixhell’s sound, which channels acid, EBM and rib-rattling techno. London-based DJ Vinicius Honorio has also already gained a loyal following, this time from putting out drum and bass as BTK, but it's his newest moniker that has won him releases on labels such as Dubspeeka’s Skeleton, Pig&Dan's Elevate, Fine Audio and Harthouse. Joining these two are Rio’s Flow & Zeo, home on the likes of Hotfingers, 303Lovers and Kling Klong, Privilege Brazil resident Amanda Chang, D-Edge resident Marcio S. and Fabulous Franc.

Hosting the Basement is Bunker 194. An East London party co-founded by ex-pat Bruno Balbino, who is on hand to represent its roving rootsy disco and house ethos, they also present Renato Lopes. With a DJ history stretching back to the late '80s, Lopes is a peerlessly versatile selector, equally as at home dropping distorted acid as he is putting out Italo-disco edits for France's I'm A Cliché label. They're joined by Paula Chalup, another D-Edge regular whose productions have found a home on labels including Trapez, and Brenno.
