Alan's Car Service

The driver took a wrong turn and then asked me for directions. He became angry and shouted at me when I didn't know the way -- it's his job to find the way, not mine. You should avoid this company, since they don't know how to behave in a civilised manner.

I pre-booked a car to go to Heathrow. The driver arrived half a hour late. While waiting I have been calling the office several times. They picked up the phone only after several attempts, and the lady I spoke with was unfriendly and certainly not helpful. When the driver finally arrived he said they had just asked him to come and pick me up. Unreliable and unfriendly customer service. Will not use them ever again.

Alan's has to be one of the oldest cabbies in Tottenham and I'm 56 years. My family and I have used this service ever since I was a small child. Alan's has always been reliable and polite. I've tried other cabbies in the area but either find that they don't know how to get to the area or they are ridiculously expensive. It will always be Alan's.

Let me just start by saying, that the overall experience was just diabolical. The service I received was appalling! The driver had no idea of working the car let alone where he was going. I mean who doesn't know how to clear steamy windows of a car without causing an accident and turning into a clear road without jerking!! We planned to have three drop off points. Directing him wouldn't have been too bad if he hadn't have calculated the fare from the office to each drop off point. Pre-booked a car to take me to the airport to catch a flight. The car drove me to the taxi rank instead, refused to drive any further because he'd been on a long shift and hadn't been told that the drop off was the airport. The person at the rank then said they had no taxis and I had to call another company to pick me up to be able to make my flight.

If I have to add something constructive I'd say they really ought to sort out their organisation and communicate with each other.

Incredibly stressful, poor service, would not recommend.

Phone operator unable to give me an accurate quote, felt as if there was quite a bit of dishonestly in the pricing. No meter was used, there was no information on how the fare was calculated, and it seemed a little too expensive, £10 for 1.4miles. No GPS in the car which meant the driver relied on my directions, lucky I knew where I was going.
Overall VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Was in right in time, friendly. Would use thuis taxi again!
