Dr Hunger Cafe

I have been coming here for years. Other cafes have opened locally and since closed. This one continues to beat them all with good English Breakfast café-style food.

Properly brewed tea, buttered toast, clean tables, prompt service, homemade bubble, great sausages, no grease, bacon how you like it, papers provided and muddy boots welcome. Not an avocado-humus-sourdough-smoked-salmon titbit on the menu, but yummy sandwiches also available with salad stuff.

One or two parking spaces outside, more around the corner, bike racks and spaces for your motorbike no probs. What more can you want? Oh yes ... it's reasonably priced too!

Is this in fact a Greasy Spoon? Many tradesmen think so as it a very popular place at excellent value. At the same time I've seen many over age 50 couples eating proper good value lunches here. As well as local workers etc..
I have breakfast here twice a week. My rule is not to have chips untill after 11.30am as they are very nice here! Also dont forget they have the newspapers.
