There has been a pharmacy on the present site for some 70 years and the current proprietor and chief pharmacist Ian Stern has owned the pharmacy for coming up to 20 years now. Hayward is one of the few independently owned pharmacies in Enfield. Ian\'s aim during his time in charge has been to provide an invaluable service to the community, delivering healthcare to the patients home and constantly developing new ideas to improve the quality of pharmacy care available.

Went into the chemist saturday morning to buy some anti insect bite cream and as i just started browsing one of the female assistants turned from stacking items asked if i needed something so i told her and she directed they were behind the counter where the other female assistant was and she got a packet of something put it firmly on the counter stood defiantly staring at me whilst tapping heavily with her fingers on the counter. Not a word from her. So i asked if there was any other ie as in price comparison before she decided to offer me the other box and only scanned the price when i asked her how much it was. Attitude fom young female shop assistants seems prevalent these days. If they cant look and act professional go find something else to do.
