I visited this place back in 1975 and it is still there and going strong. What does that tell you? I used to work the club doors and didn't get off until 3.30am at the earliest so I used to pop in there at finishing time, Have a sauna and plunge pool, toast/buns/tea/coffee etc etc, read a bit....just generally relax until I had the energy to go home. This used to be the most peaceful part of my day. There used to be a chinese massuese there who had hands of steel ! Standing for long periods of time without hardly moving can get the old body complaining...after 40mins of her followed by another sauna and life got better.
Well done whoever you are that has kept the tradition going...I have to come down to London [I live in Newcastle] soon and I'll pop in for old times sake
