I am getting married in 3 weeks time, and as a result I have been working non-stop to pay for it. On one of my only days off I decided to go to my local Dove Spa, which is only a 10 minute walk from my house. When I got there I was greeted by warm smiles from the beauty therapists.

I explained that I was worried about having a facial just before my wedding in case of I got a breakout. The therapist explained different types of facials that would be suitable for my skin type, which she diagnosed as dry. She then sat down with me to do a free skin diagnosis, which also confirmed that my skin was dry.

I booked in for a facial later in the day. When I arrived, everyone was really friendly, even though I was early I only had to wait a couple of minutes before being taken to a lovely treatment room downstairs, which was warm and cosy.

The facial was amazing, as the salon was very busy I only had a 45 minute treatment, but in this time I received skin cleansing, scrub, two treatments with a special microtone machine; one to extract dirty and one to help nutrients penetrate the skin. I then received a massage with a masque, another tone and then application of moisturiser.

I have booked in to have another more intensive facial 1 week before the wedding; I cannot wait. I will definitely be going back to this spa and I will take friends along too.
