There is a lady there most days who is always so unhelpful and rude and actually makes everything seem so complicated and therefore so expensive, that you dont want to leave anything with her!

The invisible zip repair is fine, no problems there. Their attitude is horrible. I had a skirt repaired and was glad to pay an extra 15% for an express service- it would have been pretty clear that I intended to wear the skirt that evening. When I came to collect it (45 minutes after the man behind the counter said it would be ready) he was fitting a suit and I had to wait 10 minutes before even being acknowledged. He saw me, said 'Oh, you with the skirt' and told me that he hadn't had time to press it but that 'it isn't that kind of material anyway.' I then told him I would now have to iron it at home it has many layers, this is a nuisance)and he repeated with a sneer, 'Well that is the look of it, isn't it'. I informed him when that I purchased the skirt it was very crisp and walked out. I will never go back there again. Their loss, I live just around the corner and often get things altered. I wanted an express service, not a substandard one where items are left creased.

Do not bring your clothes here!

I bought a brand new dress which needed to be taken up at the hem to the Maida Vale branch, when I went to collect it I was more than dissapointed to find that it was completely uneven (by at least 2 inches in some parts). When I asked to speak to the manager I was told he was on holiday and that he would 'deal with it when he was back'. In the meantime she offered to sew the remaining material back on to my dress - which looked ridiculous (imagine doing that to a pair of trousers!) When the manager returned from his holidays it was me to had to call him (several times) only for him to tell me that in his opinion it looked fine and that as a gesture of good will he would credit my account (why on earth would I bring more clothes into them?). And guess what, I had paid for the alterations up front so not only did they ruin my dress but I had to pay for the pleasure! Very rude managment who are very unwilling to do what's right. Don't bother!
