The Dresser

Nestled in the heart of Connaught Village near Marble Arch, The Dresser was opened in 1986 by ex music business, turned stylist, Sally Ormsby.

Keeping it in the family, Jessica Jay Ormsby having graduated with a BA Hons in Graphic Design from London College of Communication, has now come on board and is currently developing the online store and social media.

The Dresser has been acclaimed as ‘a gem of a second hand boutique,’ and is now recognised as one of London’s leading ‘designer clothes agencies’ specialising in the buying and selling of high end, contemporary and couture second hand designer womens and menswear on consignment.

Stocking an eclectic mix of nearly new and some vintage womens / mens designer labels including: Chanel, Dior, Valentino, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, Fendi, Versace, Gaultier, Pucci, Chloe, Bottega Veneta, Marni, Stella McCartney, Isobel Marant, Alice Temperley, Cavalli, Marc Jacobs and more… Obviously the best gets snapped up quickly, so regular visits to The Dresser or online are a must!

Over the years, Sally has built a loyal clientele of fashionistas including magazine editors, stylists and even some celebrities who use The Dresser’s service to re-sell designer clothes and accessories on a 50/50%, eight weeks sale-or-return basis.

Setting The Dresser apart from others, the shop has a dedicated menswear department also stocking high end designer contemporary labels, including: YSL, Gucci, Prada, Yamamoto, Comme de Garcons, Paul Smith, Lora Piano, Burberry etc… Fashion conscious, budget smart customers come from all over, seeking to buy authentic designer second hand womens and menswear. All in great condition and selling at a fraction of their original cost!
