Robertson's

Bsed on the experience of my parents, and if this company is still the same as the one that that they did business with in 1939, I would recommend them. An eight day clock along with a wedding ring were bought from Robertson's Jewellers of 99 Kilburn High Road on the 19th June 1939 for the princely sum of £3/5s/6d. The clock has a full Westminster chime movement and still works perfectly and has done so for at least the last 60 years. It has been repaired once, I can't remember when but I think it was in the late 1950s and the repair cost more than the clock when it was new. I still have the original receipt for the purchase in 1939. It was written out in pencil and has faded a little down the years but is still legible. I have no idea who the maker of the clock was but they did a champion job for it to be still working.
