Wandsworth Oasis
Charity Shop at 40-42 Trinity Road
Such negative comments, even in passing. Unfortunately in order to survive in the competitive charity climate Oasis and other charities have to speculate to accumilate. I think having a seperate book shop makes buying more appealing. I for one would prefer to shop in this way and the draw of a book shop selling books very cheaply is a good one. As for moaning about paying £8 for a hardback thats ridiculous...paperbacks new sell for £7.99.
It seems that even charity has a price for some people and negative comments about never darkening Oasis's door to buy or give is to say the least pathetic.

I love this shop. I am hugely pleased they opened a specialist book shop as I am a book obsessive. They are much more organized than when lumped in with all other random charity shop things (though I do like a good rummage too!)The books may seem a little expensive at times compared to other charity shops but these are often really specialist books, with excellent books on history, film and a huge selection of literature and literary criticism. And actually they aren't that expensive if you take into account the price you can pay in a sceond-hand bookshop, with the bonus that you are supporting a charity.
In short - well stocked, changing stock regularly, fairly priced.
I disagree with the above, the Wandsworth bookshop is amazing value - 5 paperbacks for £2 is the cheapest I've ever found, and I am a charity bookshop expert!! The range is huge - I always find five I want, often more. The hardbacks that are more pricey are actualy much more vluable books - first editions, rare editions etc well worth the higher price tag and still way cheaper than anywhere else. (keep in mind Amazon may do 1p books on the marketplace, but you still pay £2.75 postage, so it's 5 for the price of one here!!!)
