I have never ever had such a bad experience of any shop before, let alone dry cleaners.

They lost the belt of my coat (which I can now no longer wear) so I called them as soon as I got home to let them know the belt was missing. I was told they would look for it. I called back later and was told they did not have the belt and there was nothing they would do. I asked to talk to the manager- he was not there so I asked if he could call me back- he never did. After a day of waiting I went into the shop to speak to him and was encounter by a very aggressive and rude man. I was told it was my word against his- I was told he did not believe I even used the belt and I was just making this up? All of this was shouted at me and at one point I had to ask if he was threatening me. His level of aggression was so bad I thought of calling the police.

My reasoning: I handed the coat over to Brite Dry Cleaners with the belt, as it was raining when I picked it up a member of staff put it in a bag for me- which I did not open until I got home an hour and a half later which is when I called to ask about the belt. I do not understand why the manager believes I was lying or what I had to gain from lying- I just want my coat.

I very quickly realised I was not going to get compensation for the coat so I asked only for a refund on the cost of the dry cleaning- even this he was not willing to do.

I am and was very polite, calm and reasonable and I was confronted with a very scary manager. It was an incredibly surreal experience.

Please do not use this dry cleaner’s if you value your clothes and your sanity.
