Staff were at best surly and dismissive at worst downright rude - Total attitude problem and barely acknowledged my presence... Didn't spend any money and never will - Went a block down the road to Hackney Peddler who were the opposite end of the spectrum nice and helpful and I was more than happy to give them my custom and my money.

As a family we have used Daycocks Cycles on Kingsland Road for about 25 years and would recommend them to everyone who wants sensible prices and friendly advice,

Their bike servicing is thorough and appropriate to the type and age of the bike. When they replaced a 24 speed derailleur gear train, the cost, fully tuned and guaranteed, was only £10 more than the cost of the parts online.

Daycocks is a down-to-earth, reliable and helpful cycle shop, not one where your less than cool bike will be treated with disdain.

Have just bought a bike from Daycocks Cycles, Stoke Newington Road. The lad (Nick) who dealt with me could not have been more helpful, and not pushy in any way whatsoever. We were able to give the bike a quick try first, and he fitted a number of accessories for us at the same time (lights, lock, bell). The bikes in the shop, in comparison with many other better known outlets, were reasonably priced. A big thanks again to Nick for his help and genuine advice. Would definitely recommend Daycocks Cycles.

Every now and again my rollator needs some adjustment which I can't do myself.
Nick and Dee (I'm allowed to name them seeing this is a favourable response) are always helpful and friendly.
It's nice being treated like a valued customer even
though I come with 'small stuff'.

Excellent customer service, talked me through my first single speed bike purchase. No hard sell and feels like an absolute bargain! Tuned it all up before I left the shop, free service in four weeks time. Very friendly chap, had a nice little chat about girlfriend's expectations of Valentine's Day :)

Definitely going back soon...

Great bike shop. The staff are great. Very open, honest and friendly. Pretty good value compared too the chains like Halfords etc and don't sell you stuff you don't need. One thing, would be nice if they had a refurb!

really lovely guys and quick fixes. might not have all the brands you want, but they're a great local shop to get the basics. highly recommended.

I would definitely recommend this shop due to the good prices and excellent service. But for customer service one of the guy comes across as very rude and makes me feel uncomfortable. However the other man was a delight to speak to and he was great. But overall the shop is amazing.

Reliable, fast and friendly service, and much cheaper for maintenance than the chain stores (which beside Halfords, thankfully haven't rolled into N16 yet)

Perhaps hire someone with a better aptitude to handling customers. The shop worker was rude and barely acknowledged me - it was like my presence was an incovenience.

I had just fixed a puncture so I called in here to pump up my tyres but when I asked for a pump I got given one with a broken handle and no gauge. The pump was useless so I asked to use the other one in shop but the miserable mechanic said no that I had to make do with the broken one. Terrible service.

I can't recommend this shop enough! Nice and friendly guy; paid attention to what I was saying without making me feel like an idiot who has no clue of bikes; fast service; He also noticed that my brakes needed a bit of attention and he fixed them, free of charge. Definitely going back!
