Be very very careful when buying from this shop. Most of the 'deals' are available the same or often better online from reputable stores like American golf. There may be some good deals around, but they won't be easy to find. I don't recommend buying anything the first time you go to this shop. See the prices, see if it can be found in another store or online cheaper, and only buy if you are confident you're not being ripped off. This place does NOT accept returns. Staff seemed fine to me. Perfectly nice people, although salesmen through and through. Never stopped talking

Awful awful customer service. I walked in and started trying a few putters. I was told unless I'm buying a putter from them then I wasn't allowed to try them out!!

Arrogant and rude. Avoid.

Great choices, good advice. Prizes competitive. Worth a visit as I did today. And I found what I was looking for.

I haven't visited this shop for clothing, just clubs.

Firstly the sales people try to establish that they're better at golf than you, and then proceed to talk at you with their rehearsed patter. It seems their craft is one-upmanship n ot salesmanship. One guy there seems to have a strange golf-specific form of Tourettes. It's like they're doing you a favour, not the other way around.

As others have said, a real bargain is hard to come by despite appearances - always go away and do your research online. They'll tell you that you have to buy today to get a one-time-only discount, but the story is the same the next time you go in.

Somewhere like American Golf where there is often a practice facility is a better idea. Or support your club pro, of course.

Location is just about al they have in their favour.

I have to stick up for this place because all it seems to get is nasty comments from people who clearly have nothing better to say. You are in the heart of the West End and there is no other place for miles around that offers the service and quality of products like this place does. I like a bargain and the one thing that I am always guaranteed of in this place is excellent customer service. If you have bought here once...be sure to know that the team actually remember who you are when you come back for a second or third time. That to me stands out as excellent service with staff that spend time with you, helping you out with professional questions that no other store could answer.

I am a local businessman who likes quality products and I have never been let down by this store. There is no other place that comes close in comparison to the choice available....not even Harrods.

Make your own judgement by visiting it yourself!!!!!!!!!!

How do you feel when you have been fooled? Like a fool! I do...
Visited Capital Golf this Saturday, and made several newbie-mistakes. The biggest one probably beeing letting the salesreps understand that I'm an easy target, with no experience to verify all the lies they served.
Ended up bying av windbreaker and a pair of trousers, with at least a 20% discount according to the salesreps. I realize I should have seen the writing on the wall when they started bragging about customers from my homecountry bying two, and selling one to finance their own...
It's frustrating to find out that the bargain deal was a steal instead, and that it was my money. Paid close to 150 £ overprice for the two items combined... lessons learned for me!
Never, ever trust the salesreps of this store!

So I stroll in there with some time to kill and an interest in buying a driver. I'm an 18 handicap, just started working on my golf again so in terms of potential spend I'm a perfect customer. I enquire about weighted drivers and that the new fancy drivers feel too light... innocent beginner question? The owner comes striding across the floor and proceeds to rant and rave about all clubs being the same, and that he captained england when he was 18 and only coaches professional at 1 gazillion punds an hour... I literally got a 10 minute lecture, and no decent advise. This store is failing fast.. this chap is a has been and aweful salesman. Clearly he is a good golfer but unless he gets some anger management help soon his business will sink along with his over-priced gear. I might pop back with my rugby team and ask him to give us all some more advice haha. Off to raynes park driving range to spend my bonus!!

A gem of a store. Heart of the West End with professional & polite staff. The service was quick and extremely helpful over a busy lunch period when I didnt have the time to spend hours shopping for golf products. I would highly recommend dropping in because the specialist help was excellent and made my experience so much easier than it needed to be. The selection of golf clothing is by far one of the best I have seen for a very long time, and yes the store is small, but crammed full of the best stuff at very good prices. Definately somewhere I will be going to again.

I like many others reviewing this place had a bad experience.
I visited because of it's central location, my Initial impression was a small cluttered shop supposedly with a sale on. The reality was a small cluttered shop so packed full of goods (they obviously can't shift) you can't even walk round it. The sales man was so rude to me I left thinking I would not buy a set of Callaway clubs from you even if they were £10. I'd suggest visiting this shop just to experience this guy, he's completely off his head, and exhibits some of the strangest sales techniques I have ever seen, a complete joke... who probably came up with the CLOSING DOWN marketing plan...

This must be the worst Golf shop in the world. Seriously I never had such a pointless, rude and unfriendly "shopping" experience like this before. The shop owner is according to him self a "PGA professional". Well he must been hit by a Driver because the way how he is handling his customers show only how unprofessional he and his shop in reality is. The prices are much to high. I went there a couple of times due to the location of the shop and in hope that the next visit would improve my opinion about the shop. Have to say that every single time was the same "Overpriced and Bad customer service". Such a shame that a golf shop with this location is so useless. From me -10 stars

First tip off is the sign that says "Closing Down Sale"...umm, they are not closing. So already a classy joint. The salesman tries to chat nonstop with sales-y talk...the prices are about double what they should be. I would highly advise you research online before going into see them...its not great in terms of value, and you will leave feeling ripped off.

Strolled upon this place and I have to say I don't know what the other 2 reviews were about but this was the best find ever! If you're in to golf this is like a gold mine. Anything you could possible want or need they have. The staff were extremely helpful and informative - there wasn't a single question I asked that they didn't have the answer too. The only negative thing I will say is that your guaranteed to walk out of here with a serious dent in your wallet! Would recommend to anyone! Great to have such a fantastic golf shop in the centre of London - will be back again!

Gives you all the 'salesman' banter then rips you off, go somewhere you can trust.

Just called to get a full price for a Callaway Golf set and was told "Don't know you from Adam mate and I'm not prepared to give out prices over the phone". I was unaware of the secret underworld of golf club prices!!! Suffice to say I will go to a more professional outfit.
