You can never get an appointment, they keep changing they minds as well. Once they will tell you to call in advance and when you do they say sorry you can't do that. But if you need a doctor on the same day there is never space for you any more.

I called to book an appointment for 20/02/2012 as a Monday is the only day my Son has off from work.

I was told that they are unable to book appointments in advance & my Son would have to call on the Day as the appointments they had for 20/02/2012 had to be kept.

The Manager would not talk to me and the receptionist kept asking for my DOB, as I am a listed patient there and had given my name, I really do not understand why that was relevant!!

This is not the first time it has happened & having looked at their Policy it does not state you are not permitted to book an appointment a week in advance.

I will therefore be looking into this matter further.

I have just booked a doctors appointment today 23/03/2011. to start the earliest appointment was 7/04/2011. After saying this was unacceptable I finally got one for 2/04/2011
I had a MRI scan on friday 18/03. The doctor has the results but I have to wait all this time to find out what they are even though I am in pain and still need to work.
I would advise anyone NOT to join this practice as they obviously cannot cope with the
patients they have.

Difficult to get through by phone as often line is engaged & when you get through long wait in the queue. Initially there is a recorded message asking you to press appropriate number for different service. The option to make an appointment is towards the end of the message when it should really be towards the beginning as I guess majority of the calls must be to make an appointment.

Also difficult to get an appointment with a doctor without waiting for few days and generally staff not very helpful on the phone. It seems they are not particularly interested in serving patients.

Can never get an appointment unless you call 2 weeks in advance - that's ok if you are psychic and know you will need a doctor well in advance. The message service when you call takes forever, after 15mins of waiting I found out I couldn't get an appointment within 1 week. I thought evening appointments were given to those that have to work during the day - I can never get an evening appointment. I am looking for a new surgery. The NHS service is going to pot.
