Located in the London Borough of Camden, Hampstead Theatre specializes in commissioning and producing new writing.

In 2003, the Hampstead Theatre Company got a new, purpose-built theatre, Hampstead Theatre, in Swiss Cottage, with between 150 – 325 seats in the main auditorium and up to 80 seats in the studio theatre, called Michael Frayn Space. This room is host to the theatre’s youth theatre, the Hampstead Theatre Heat & Light Company, which produces 12 productions per year.
