| About Hampton Hill Playhouse: | This purpose-built theatre was completed in 1998 and is the home of the Teddington Theatre Club. The 200 capacity auditorium is used for concerts, corporate entertainment and dance as well as musicals and dramatic performances. Those in need of refreshment will find it in the foyer, which doubles as an exhibition space for local artists; in fact the Playhouse is something of a multipurpose venue, seeing as it has hosted wedding receptions and awards ceremonies, and there are various rooms available for private hire. The local theatre group also hosts free workshops which give attendees the chance to dabble in set design, sound and lighting and directing. The theatre is wheelchair accessible. |
