Whats goin on everybody? My name is Jay, I'm 21, and I've been living in the U.S. for 20 years. I was born in Portugal and came here at a very young age so I am a EU citizen, I still bear a valid Portuguese passport. With that said, I was planning on moving to London to start fresh, work, and pursue a college degree (I never went back after high school here). However, I'm a bit concerned with the dilemma of; not being able to find a job without a place to live, and not being able to find a place to live without a job. I'll be paying for everything by myself nd I'm not exactly well off but I can manage a little bit of start up money. How do you guys suggest I begin this transition??

Thanks so much for your time.

Hi Jay,

I am sure you could find a flat share in London and offer to pay as much as you can afford in advance for some security, until you find a job. You might find it takes time to find work as there are many young people here looking for jobs at the moment, but you may be lucky!

To get an idea of what's available and costs:

Have a look here for rooms:

And here for jobs:

Good luck,
Louise.
