where to have a party for 50 people in London

I'm helping a friend organise a party for around 50 people. We need somewhere with a late licence, in central or west london, somewhere inexpensive (ie above a pub) and somewhere that has room for a band to play. any ideas really very gratefully received. thanks xx

went there last week they had a party downstairs nice intimate area fits about 90 but 50 would be a lovely amount very cosy, lovely staff. i asked the manageress about having my 40th there she said if i have a large number eating from caribbean buffet at 18 pound per head then downstairs would be free. or i could negotiate a price for downstairs only. a dj is also available for hir. they were really helpful jsut thought id share it
