Hi there,

I am looking for a local handyman to do some small maintenance and repair jobs on an as and when required basis for a couple of properties i own. It would suit retired tradesman or general handyman local to Hackney. Does anyone know of anyone who might be interested or could help?

If so please let me know,

Thank you,

Simon

I don't know anyone specifically in the Hackney area, but have employed three different sets of polish/bulgarian workmen in our flat and all did an EXCELLENT job whilst we also had one british workman whose work was poor and quotes from two further british firms who charged nearly double the price of the eastern europeans....i would go with eastern european tradesmen again every time.

Hope you find someone :)

We dealt with a guy called Rad via the contact details here
http://www.plasteringlondon.com/ His team did an amazing job in replastering all our ceilings.

A chap called Doru fitted our bathroom to a fantastic standard - his mobile (hope he doesn't mind) is 07841 111 702.

There was another guy who painted our hallway and restored some of the features, but I'm afraid I don't have his details anymore.

Hope you get somewhere with them..

The best website to find handymen in London is LocalHand: http://www.localhand.co.uk

It gives you access to reviews from previous customers

To find and easily compare handymen you should have a look at http://www.eGenie.co.uk. That's a website where customers post their wish (whatever has to be done) and several handymen give estimates. If you want to find the right handyman eGenie.co.uk is the way to do it. Hope I could help..
