Dallas Movie Controversy

Priscilla Presley has stated that she would be “very reluctant” to become involved in the planned Dallas movie. The actress, and daughter of the famous Elvis Presley was one of the stars during the original 1980 series. Despite this she feels that it would extremely difficult to produce a film that could reflect the success of the hit series that followed oil baron J R Ewing.

Others that are thought to be in negotiations with the producers include John Travolta, Shirely MacLaine, Luke Wilson and Jennifer Lopez. Priscilla has commented: "I'm very reluctant about it because I don't know how it can get better than what we had. This is a whole new generation and I don't know if they will appreciate it as much as our generation…We grew up with it, we knew the characters very well, we knew the actors very well. It is a different time period now. I don't know if I would want to be in something that was already successful and risk myself with something that may or may not be,"
