Cobham has been taken over by celebrities, business tycoons and footballers, much to the dismay of the locals who mourn the loss of the area’s character in favour of over-the-top million pound homes - Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood’s house comes complete with gargoyles and a turret, and the area has been nicknamed the ‘Beverley Hills of Britain’. So what makes this Surrey town so attractive to its wealthy inhabitants? Well, it’s always been an affluent area, and its pretty, leafy scenery and good schools have contributed to it being voted as the best part of Britain to live four years running. Plus, a botox clinic is set to open shortly which will no doubt improve Cobham’s prospects even further!
