Muswell Hill Guide

Previously known to some as “the poor man’s Highgate”, Muswell Hill now boasts similar levels of affluence to its neighbour. It is home to the mammoth Alexandra Palace, which hosts concerts, collectors’ fairs and an ice rink; located atop a hill, it offers stunning views over the London but sadly the annual firework display has been cancelled due to lack of funding. Houses are mostly Edwardian and sit on steep streets, while Muswell Hill Broadway has a plethora of enticing restaurants, bars and a mixture of high street and independent shops. The drawback? There is no tube or railway to connect directly to the area, however bus routes link to nearby stations.
