We had a very positive experience at Al Hamra. The food was delicious and the menu had some very reasonably priced wine, contrary to the other comments we read on this website. The service was quick and they catered to our needs very well. Thumbs up big time!

I am visiting London on regular base since 1992, 4 to 6 times a year.

Since 1994 I am minimum once a year visiting the restaurant with private and business guests. I have ever been very comfortable with the service and especially with the food which has an extra-ordinary quality. I compare it with continental-standards (i.e. Italy, France, Swiss, German or Austrian quality)in the higher-class restaurants.

Especially if you like to have a lot of different kind of food (here it will be served on small dishes)

The service is doing a very good job - any time I tried (nearly every time I have been there) I recommended the restaurant to a lot of foreign friends which all very happy about this "insider-information". But, and this is a positiv "but", you should drink traditional tea or non-alcoholic drinks otherwise you have to spent a fortune for the top Red Wines from Lebanon !

It seems that the only people who write reviews have bad comments. I would like to change that by saying that I enjoyed the service, food and hospitality at Al Hamra.

I admit that it is quite expensive when compared with the Lebanese restaurants in, say, Edgeware Road, but there is no comparison when it comes to the quality of the food and surroundings at Al Hamra.

Not an every-day restaurant unless you have deep pockets but definatly a very good choice for a special occasion.

The meze food was excellent but the wine was way too expensive.

The vegetarian meze selections we chose were beautifully prepared and presented. Food came promptly but there were mistakes and the service was disappointingly brusque.

After paying, we discovered that my wife's handbag had been stolen - the staff didn't seem overly sympathetic or even surprised to be honest. Take care.
