My wife and I have eaten in many restaurants in and around London and, without doubt, Sambuca has remained our favourite. Over the recent years we have even our way through their menu and our greatest problem now is just what to choose. Every dish is presented in a way that competes with the most prestigious of eating houses in London and it is not unusual to see other patrons photographing their selections before eating. We have used this restaurant in small and very large parties and the quality of food and service has never wavered. Their website (sambucarestaurant.org.uk) is just a small reflection of their cuisine but what the photographs cannot show is the unobtrusive but always helpful presence of Maria and Marco that does not intrude on your privacy. On my next visit I shall have the risotto ..... or maybe the ravioli or ..... even the prawns but whatever I have I know that I shall be totally satisfied in every way.

For a small place, Eastcote has no shortage of good restaurants, but Sambuca is the best. Unerringly friendly staff, always full of happy diners and wonderfully presented food that rivals anything I've eaten anywhere in the world. Booking advised, even on weekdays, when they do a great value set menu. Oh, and it also has a really pretty interior and manages to keep ages from 9 to 90 happpy!

We go to this great family run restaurant 3 or 4 times a year. It's not massive so is usually busy so book for weekends. Because it is not large you get great service from the staff. The food is always great, I am yet to have anything that I wasn't pleased with. Drinks are also reasonable. If we are going for a "nice meal" out we rarely go up town as Sambuca is closer and better than anything in central London. One other thing - Stripy shirts always impress!

I have been to Sambuca at least 20 times and the level of service cannot be faulted. This is a family run restaurant which gives every customer that personal touch. The head chef stays after hours to perfect new recipes and comes in early to make fresh bread (anchovy bread rolls to die for!). The menu is what the 'celebrity chefs' demand - concise, consistent, fresh ingredients and inventively tasty. The house red is a good quality Piemontese Barbera which is under £10. All in all this is is what one expects from a restaurant and I sincerely hope it gets the recognition it deserves.

Excellent food, well cooked & equally well presented. Good choice of wines on the wine list and fairly priced across the list, with wines for all pockets. Change of menu means a variety/choice which helps when visiting on a regular basis. Staff/Management very friendly and welcoming - many great evenings spent in Sambuca Eastcote - give it a try, you won't be disappointed - I would recommend booking, not always 100% necessary, but to avoid disappoinment I would book.
