'Star of Bombay' is one of the best local restaurants in this area - that might seem like a high claim but every time I need to celebrate, I choose here. The service is excellent and friendly, the food is traditional and fits the bill, and the whole atmosphere is one of local brilliance. Try it once and you'll be back there the next week looking for a little bit of literal and friendly warmth in cold London.
