The Toresano has pitched itself a bit high. It's clearly aiming at posh nosh with expensive wines which would be why it's always more empty than full. A more down to earth feel and lower prices would be great and they'd make more money. I'd be surprised if they're making a profit these days judging by the empty tables I see as I walk past it every evening. Not so the Bhan Thai opposite which sells fantastic authentic Thai food (and I should know) at prices that won't put you off a return visit. It would be a shame to see the Toresano disappear but I think they need to rethink their strategy and get the place buzzing again. One can but hope.
