A conceptual project pieced together by design artist VideoMat and film composer Alan D.Boyd who don alter egos White Dolemite and Alessandro ‘Saseko’ Motojima respectively in a mission to lovingly contribute to the world of grindhouse and 70s b-movie culture. Alas ‘Sendo Senshi’ is full intents and purposes a lost 70s film shrouded in mythology, especially due to its rare classic score.

Poster Art exhibition THE X-RATED MAN runs June 20 - July 4 at Woolff Gallery London along with live album launch performance on June 20th opening night

The Story of Sendo Senshi:

ROUGH TRADE STORES SET TO RELEASE ‘LOST’ SCORE MASTERPIECE ‘SENDO SENSHI’.

Rough Trade record stores are set to re-issue vinyl and cassette copies of the long lost ‘Sendo Senshi’ original score, a 1970’s White Dolemite cult classic by composer Alessandro ‘Saseko’ Motojima. It is probably the greatest score to the greatest film there never was!

Japanese-Italian composer Alessandro ‘Saseko’ Motojima and 70’s B-Movie/Godfather of Whitexploitation {whyxploitation} White Dolemite infamously collaborated on the movie ‘Sendo Senshi’ but the film was never officially released. The soundtrack was released but then discontinued within a month, shrouding the work in myth.

Those familiar with ‘Sendo Senshi’, mainly aficionados of the grindhouse, b-movie, slasher-samurai epics, most famously the second assistant to Quentin Tarantino on Kill Bill have quietly gone about making this one of the most eagerly sought after records in film and music history.

With the resurgence in grindhouse and film poster art, record label Carnero Records have launched with an aim to bring this most aesthetic of sub-cultures back to the fore. Supported by the exclusive vinyl and cassette releases with Rough Trade, (also offering an exclusive A1 film poster with every copy sold), along with a series of launch events and exhibitions in London, featuring confirmed appearances from both White Dolemite himself – literally unheard of due to the nature of his elusive ninja like persona, and the extraordinary Alessandro ‘Saseko’ Motojima, who will be performing the ‘Sendo Senshi’ soundtrack in full along with his band The QC197.

Raise your sake to what could well be the summer of Sendo!

‘Sendo Senshi’ will be available on iTunes and on 180g vinyl (with ltd edition posters) & CrO2 cassette at Rough Trade stores from June 23rd 2013.
