The Glass Works hosts the International Real Ale Festival, from 28th March - 13th April

The N1 Centre in Islington is inviting ale drinkers to ‘think global and drink local’ this spring as it welcomes the International Real Ale Festival. The Glass Works in The N1 Centre is playing host to the festival, featuring 10 international brewers and 40 of Britain’s best ales, from Friday 28th March - Sunday 13th April.

Visit JD Wetherspoons' The Glass Works and try a selection of the finest ales from the UK and around the world from £1.99. Favourites include the Siren’s Song Session IPA from American brewers Cigar City Brewing. This strong bitter’s combination of hops provides orange and tropical fruit notes, with hints of pine and grapefruit. If it is best bitter you are looking for, try South Afri-can’s best Pale Ale, Standeaven. This light, copper toned ale is well-balanced by fruit and malt notes. Alternatively, why not try a beer brewed closer to home? Hell Hound, brewed by Growlers (Suffolk), is a refreshing, full-bodied bronze ale containing 100% English hops, giving a subtle citrus aroma, a touch of spice on the palate and a long, smooth finish.

Plus, with so many award-winning ales to choose from, why not try them in 1/3-pint tasters? Dur-ing the festival, you can do just that with The Glass Works’ special 1/3-pint tasting glasses – three different ales for the price of a festival pint.

Lynne Glover, The N1 Centre Manager, says: “We’re really looking forward to the International Real Ale Festival coming to The Glass Works later this month. We’ve got some of the world’s finest ales for visitors from a range of international brewers.”
