This exceptional trio is led by Laurence Cottle, one of the finest electric bass players this country has ever produced. His stunning technique and remarkably fluent and creative playing have been featured with innumerable artists including the Bill Bruford Band, Jim Mullen, Claire Martin, Jason Rebello and Tim Garland as well as the likes of Eric Clapton, Brian Eno, Gary Moore, Cozy Powell and Black Sabbath! As well as a consummate performer Laurence is also an accomplished writer and arranger whose work is not only featured with his own, excellent, 16-piece Big Band, but can also be heard on the soundtrack of various TV and film productions including Kavanagh QC, Take A Girl Like You and the Jim Carrey Movie Special. Appearing with Laurie tonight are, not surprisingly, two of the finest jazz musicians in Europe, Mornington Lockett (Ronnie Scott Quintet, Jimmy Smith) on sax and drummer Ian Thomas (Eric Clapton, Sting). Highly recommended.

“Laurence Cottle…[A]World class talent…[with] finely-honed skills” LondonJazz
