Howard Spooner, the entrepreneur behind some of Chelsea’s most successful nightspots including Public, Dukebox and The Leopard Lounge has launched his latest venture, DNA London, in Clapham, London.

Situated in a site that operated for many years as a masonic lodge, DNA London continues the eccentric design and quirk associated with Spooner’s past successes – juxtaposing vintage Chesterfield sofas and 1930’s architectural detail with contemporary raw metal fixtures. DNA London logos are peppered around the venue whilst vintage ship lanterns hang from the ceiling on industrial chains, with old-fashioned filament bulbs.

Provocative modern art is also prominent including a giant canvas featuring a skeletal Dorian Gray with the phrase Dorian Never Ages embedded in neon.

Featuring an original, “medically mixed” cocktail menu, designed by celebrated mixologist Billy Tran (The Experimental Cocktail Club in Paris), DNA London boasts glass apothecary jars lining the walls behind each bar.

DNA London is open on Friday and Saturday nights and for the first time, on Sunday 6th April due to the London Boat Race.
