Art and Design Launch Event

City Academy invites you to the roof terrace at Lift Islington, where there will be free drinks and activities to celebrate the arrival of our new classes.

Our experienced tutors, who all work professionally in the creative industries, will be on hand to talk about their courses, demonstrate art exercises, and give you some insight into their own work in fashion, fine art and design.

Art & Design Taster Activities
Figure Drawing
Try your hand at capturing a live model in charcoal, biro and marker pen, with Doris A. Day. Doris has had solo exhibitions across the Uk, including London Fashion Week and the Royal Academy of Arts.

Fashion Styling
Our stylist will be demonstrating how to get inspiration and work with the wardrobe you have available.

Fashion Skills
Join fashion designer Lily Cornell, who will be demonstrating just what you can expect to make in a course with City Academy. Lily has worked with fashion labels such as Christopher Raeburn, and large brands including John Lewis and Marks & Spencer.

Design Foundations
Contribute to our interactive wall of graphic design with Kris Turnbull. Kris is an Art Director for TV and commercials, with credits including The Apprentice, The Great British Bake Off & Derren Brown Specials
